Discover Val Grande: guided excursions and tours throughout September

Throughout the month of September, Val Grande offers numerous excursions and guided tours to discover its lagoon landscapes, reed beds and archaeological sites.

The activities include walking, cycling, kayaking and canoeing tours.

Unless otherwise indicated, all excursions meet and depart from the entrance to the Val Grande Nature Reserve.

Here is a selection of the activities on offer:

Paddling through Val Grande: nature excursions by canoe with a guide.
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: €35.00, including entrance, canoe rental and guide
Dates: Thursday 3, 10, 17 and 24 September at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm; Monday 7 and 14 September at 9:00 am

Man and the Lagoon: 3.5-hour guided excursions to discover the nature reserve and its natural environment by bike and kayak.
Duration: 3.5 hours
Cost: €35.00
Dates: Friday 4 and 11 September at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm; Sunday 6 and 13 September at 9:00 am; Wednesday 9 September at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm

Guided Walk with a Park Ranger: a park ranger will accompany you on a 1.5-hour walking tour to discover the nature reserve and its natural beauty.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Cost: €15.00, including entrance

Val Grande in Bibione: a unique 30-km cycling excursion lasting approximately 6 hours, accompanied by an environmental guide. The tour starts at Beach Office 7 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, crosses the Tagliamento River on the XRiver boat service and ends at Punta Tagliamento Lighthouse in Bibione.
Duration: approximately 6 hours
Cost: guide and bike rental free of charge, offered by Li.Sa.Gestioni; XRiver boat crossing and Val Grande entrance €7.00
Dates: Friday 4 and 11 September at 9:30 am

Canoe & Yoga: on Saturday 19 September, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, discover the Val Grande nature reserve by canoe and relax with a yoga class at the traditional casone hut in Valle.

Cost: €50.00 for the full-day experience

E-Bike Grand Tour: explore the nature reserve on two wheels with guided e-bike tours along a route of approximately 10 km.
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: €25.00

Open Day: open to all residents of the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento, this free guided tour offers the opportunity to discover the natural and environmental value of the reserve.
